Old Town Riverbash Press Release:

“A Celebration of Creativity”

“I survived...and creativity helped me every
step of the way”

DeWitt Creativity Group and the Old Town Commercial Association are pleased to announce the first Old Town Riverbash. This event is a showcase of local high school talent against the backdrop of a community recently awarded the coveted designation of “Great American Main Street”. The DeWitt Creativity Group is ecstatic to be partnering with such a visionary and supportive community. The event will provide residents of the Mid-Michigan area opportunities to experience high school creativity, physical wellness, and sports while promotional regional unity. Here is a sampling of some of the great activities/attractions one can expect at the Old Town Riverbash on Friday, June 3, 2011 (5:00 PM through 10:00 PM):

A Great Time Is Waiting...

There will be something for everyone at the Old Town Riverbash. All of the events are free. It will be a great opportunity for those who have not been in Old Town for some time to check out this neat and distinctive place. For those adventurous enough to take a $1.00 half hour river boat tour, they will be able to see up close several sterling examples of Lansing's continued revitalization along the banks of the Grand River. The Lansing Capitals of the International Basketball League will hold a shooting contest for those who think they can match the talents of basketball wizards. While you are watching this awesome display of firepower, be sure to get some ice cream from Arctic Corner. Later, after catching a meal from one of the great eateries in Old Town, catch some awesome poetry at Sir Pizza. If you stick around long enough, you can sing classics from the 1980s during karaoke. Or you could decide to see live improv comedy that will leave you in stitches.
