"Project Enlighten" is an exciting effort that will serve as a catalyst for community innovation in the DeWitt area. The involvement of students will provide cutting edge learning opportunities before, during, and after the successful completion of the project. The 21st century skills of collaboration, critical thinking, networking, creativity, and many others are significant for the workplace of the future. What better way for students to develop and enhance them than in one of the fastest growing sectors of the New Economy: alternative energy? It is the hope of the DeWitt Public Schools Foundation and DeWitt Creativity Group that the windmill becomes a treasured asset of the community, inspiring young and old alike to work together for a prosperous future.
