Exciting Presentations

DCG/MCG members Jeff Croley and Jason LaFay presented at three conferences in September, October, and November. The following are some brief summaries of the conferences:

The Princess of Suburbia (Lansing Manifest) Empowerment Tour

The Michigan Creativity Group was thrilled to participate in the first annual Princess of Suburbia Empowerment Tour on Saturday September 30, 2017. MCG co-founders Jason LaFay and Jeff Croley along with two students from DeWitt High School - Evan Hughes and Issac Jen - listened to some inspiring live/remote presentations from the following speakers at Lansing Community College's West Campus:

Chris Holman

Dr. Sherri Henderson

Princess Fumi Hancock

Dan Hagfors

Additionally, Jason LaFay and Jeff Croley presented to thousands throughout the world with the message of empowering all to realize their dreams through entrepreneurship. The event drew much international views and positive responses. Many thanks to Edna Frenchwood, Regina Aldrich, and sponsors for putting together such an important event! Creative Placemaking Summit 3

The Creative Placemaking Summit 3 took place on October 11, 2017 at the Lansing Center. The MCG was fortunate enough to be among the roster of presenters detailing significant placemaking initiatives throughout the Lansing region and beyond. It was to our great delight that 58 individuals attended the Michigan Creativity Group presentation (including Lansing area business/state leaders: Chris Holman, Darcy Kerr, and Edythe Hatter-Williams) with many expressing their interest and appreciation for our work. Jeff Croley read a poem on the evolution of his creativity before one of the afternoon sessions and to close the day. Kudos to The Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Michigan Business Network, AF Group, and Capital Area Michigan Works for making our presentation a big success!
