DCG Members Receive Recognition for Acting Efforts

The following is a summary (by Edna Frenchwood) of an event held by Chichi Movies for the outstanding contributions of Jacob Orth, Elena Medrano, and others to a film project by the Mid-Michigan Youth Media Initiative.

The 'Star' Award
Given to outstanding students who go above and beyond to perform their best on set! Elena (Medrano) was the first to answer to the call for the 'Strangers Game' by the A-Team of Bonnie Sumbler's LCC Media Class. She played the lead female role. Jacob took on the lead role on the day of, after our lead cast cancelled! Congrats to Elena Medrano and Jacob Orth of the Michigan/DeWitt Creativity Groups/Dewitt High School!

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. Special thanks to our sponsors who allowed us to give away, a night's stay at the Staybridge Suites Okemos, MI (Won by the Orth Family).
