Event Goals:

To provide a platform for secondary students to share their real experiences and ideas regarding the impact of today's secondary school programs.

To encourage students, teachers, administrators, parents, community, area organizations and busineses to dialogue about education and to understand the roots of the call for change.

To get broader recognition for the great things occurring in Grand Ledge High School and around the region to better prepare our students for careers in the new economy.

To brain storm plans to put ideas into action in the upcoming school year at a classroom /school/district level in light of the current political mandates and their repercussions.

Event Agenda:

5:30 pm coffee and snacks Grand Ledge Student Store and Business Marketing Department 

5:30 to 5:50 --GLHS students will host a networking session for students with area organizations and businesses.

5:50 pm Welcome and opening remarks 

 Pam Jodway, VP of Marketing, Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP, Inc.)

6:00 pm Original Script Presentation of "Questions" performed by the DeWitt Creativity Group students (DeWitt High School students)

This show encompasses educational practices, trends and concepts while addressing the concerns of young people. Many social issues concerning teaching and learning are introduced as well as possible solutions for developing a more creative and innovative culture in schools and communities.

Short Break (10 minutes)
