The Great Lakes International Trade and Transportation Hub Summit will take place on October 16-18, 2011 at Kellogg and Conference Center (Michigan State University) in East Lansing, Michigan. AnnMarie Schneider, M.S. of the Michigan State University Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (Legislative Leadership Program) has arranged a fantastic opportunity for DeWitt High School students and teachers to not only observe but participate in the event by submitting ideas related to increasing trade (focusing on global education) between the United States and Canada. These ideas will help comprise a bi-national, strategic plan to guide the expansion of export related industries in Michigan. Many thanks to Ms. Schneider, Kathy Cusick, and Holly Hetzner for providing an exceptional learning opportunity for DeWitt High School students/teachers to better understand issues related to global trade.
