The DeWitt Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) and the Creative Leadership class have both started a new semester. The Creative Leadership class will have students building personal brands by developing significant networks to collaborate on impactful regional projects. One exciting initiative of the Creative Leadership class will be to design an academic local currency in conjunction with Capital Area Local First (CALF): http://capitalarealocalfirst.com/
Students in the DRDL class will focus on building various technologies in several STEM areas. A specific area of focus will be designing an experiment that will be part of a CubeSat launch later this year (please see earlier news entry). Also, the DRDL will educate students on how to use problem solving methods to invent or improve products. A special project will expose students to the patent process and intellectual copyright issues.
