Darcy Kerr, Accident Fund Holdings, Inc.

Session Description:

The Michigan Creativity Group (MCG) will discuss how to better utilize the talents and passions of Michigan’s youth by connecting them with those in the business community. Discussions will include the importance of establishing innovative cultures in both educational institutions as well as the workplace in order to meet the changing demands of the workforce. The MCG believes education is economic development. The group is currently working with Accident Fund and others to promote the importance of merging the worlds of education and business in order to create unique learning opportunities for students and better serve Michigan.

The presentation was a huge success with Darcy Kerr, Head of Human Resources from Accident Fund Holdings, adding a wonderful contribution to the importance of the skill sets that the Creative Leadership Class, DeWitt and Michigan Creativity Groups are working to instill in DeWitt High School students. An audience of 60 individuals listened to a 45 minute presentation along with State Superintendent of Schools Mike Flanagan dropping by and interjecting many positive points!
