The Theater Department recently finished a mid-Michigan premiere of Months On End, an intimate play about the nuances and complexities of relationships. The show originally opened in Chelsea, Michigan at Jeff Daniel's Purple Rose Theater. The "Act As If..," play was brought to life in Mid-Michigan at the DeWitt Performing Arts Center where the unique playing space featured a thrust stage and multimedia effects. Audiences were treated to a post-show discussion following the performances and seven different school districts were represented at the show as well as other theater enthusiasts from around the area.

The DeWitt Theater Department is gearing up for the 15th annual Chicago Theater trip. Students will attend improvisation workshops at the Second City Training Center and Comedy Sportz. They will also see a show at Second City and two world premiere productions, Plantation at the Lookingglass Theater. This show is directed by David Schwimmer, who played Ross in the hit TV show Friends. The students will also see The Doppleganger at the Steppenwolf where Rian Wilson, best known for his role as Dwight in the hit TV show The Office will play the lead role.
